As much as 93 per cent of the offer at Sale No: 12 of the auctions of Coonoor Tea Trade Association was sold despite the average price rising to ₹95.49 a kg from the previous week’s ₹94.08 due to increased winter demand from upcountry markets. The Broken Orange Pekoe Fanning of Homedale Estate, auctioned by Global Tea Brokers, topped the CTC auction when Shreeji Traders bought it for ₹235 a kg.

The Broken Pekoe grade of Homedale Estate, auctioned by Global Tea Brokers, followed at ₹230 in the Leaf tea auction.

In the CTC Dust tea auction, Homedale Estate’s two grades, auctioned by Global Tea Brokers, topped at ₹232 and ₹231.

In the orthodox tea market, Chamraj topped at ₹266. All others got less than ₹200.
