Non-traditional area coffees from Andhra Pradesh on sale at ICTA has received good support from the exporters and the domestic trade.
According to auctioneer J. Thomas & Company, Arabica Plantation PB grade remained unsold, whereas A grade sold at last week's price. B and C grade remained unsold as sellers' price expectations were higher than the buyers' interest.
Non traditional area coffees which received good response were: Arabica plantation PB Rs 10,100 (price at which it was sold), Arabica plantation A Rs 10,350-10,485, Arabica plantation B Rs 9,800, Arabica cherry PB Rs 8,500, Arabica cherry AB Rs 9,000-9,140, Arabica cherry C Rs 5,850, Arabica cherry BBB Rs 5,500. Robusta cherry PB Rs 5,900-5,975, Robusta cherry AB Rs 6,000, Robusta cherry C Rs 5,725, Robusta cherry BBB Rs 5,550.
Arabica Cherry PB grade also remained unsold, A, AA and B grade prices were higher by Rs 50 for 50-kg bag when compared with last week's price levels, C grade prices were lower by Rs 50-70 .
Robusta Parchment PB, AB and C grade price were higher by Rs 100-150 for 50-kg bag, AA and RKR price were higher by Rs 200 when compared to previous sale. Robusta Cherry coffee price were higher by Rs 150-260.
Arabica Plantation BBB remained unsold as seller's price expectation was higher than the buyer's interest. Arabica Cherry BBB sold at price similar to last levels, Robusta Parchment and Robusta Cherry BBB price were higher by Rs 100-150 bag compared to last sale.
Following are the prices of a 50-kg bag of the grades: Arabica plantation A Rs 10,700, Arabica cherry AA Rs 9,350, Arabica cherry C Rs 6,600-6,650, Arabica cherry BBB Rs 5,600-5,750. Robusta parchment PB Rs 7,900, Robusta parchment AB Rs 8,500, Robusta parchment AA Rs 8,700, Robusta parchment RKR Rs 8,650, Robusta parchment C Rs 7,400, Robusta parchment BBB Rs 5,650-5,900, Robusta cherry PB Rs 6,150, Robusta cherry AB Rs 6,250, Robusta cherry C Rs 5,950, Robusta cherry BBB Rs 5,800.
