CLAAS India, a leading supplier of grain harvest equipment, has sold its 5,000th CLAAS Crop Tiger Terra Trac range of combine harvester, according to a press release from the company.

The subsidiary of the multinational CLAAS of Germany, expects to sell 1,200 more combine harvesters in the current financial year. CLAAS India has also set up a modern warehouse in Bangalore at a cost of Rs 18 crore.

CLAAS Germany will continue its focus on its Indian operations through CLAAS India, which has a 60 per cent market share in India and about a third in the self-propelled combined harvester market.

Warehouse facility

The new warehouse facility will strengthen its after-sales support operations in South India for all its products including the Crop Tiger range of combine harvesters, the Markant Baler used for baling paddy and wheat straw and the Paddy Panther 14 transplanter.

Currently, CLAAS India manufactures three models of Crop Tiger Combine Harvesters — the Crop Tiger 60, the Crop Tiger 30 Wheel and the Crop Tiger 30 Terra Trac.
