The International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (Icrisat) and Austria-based International Association for Cereal Science and Technology (ICC) will organise a three-day ICC India International Grains Conference in New Delhi from January 16.

The maiden conference will focus on developments in grain science and technology to ensure high quality, safe and healthy grain-based foods.

“The conference will provide a forum for networking and exchange of information among various sectors of the local and international grains industry, decision-makers in the Indian food and cereals industry, and the food and nutrition science community,” Mr William D. Dar, Director-General of ICRISAT, said here in a statement on Thursday. It will also bring together various stakeholders such as grain scientists and technologists, millers, suppliers and traders to discuss quality, safety and nutritional issues.
