The Centre and the World Bank have signed agreements amounting to International Development Association credit of $7.98 million additional finance for the Uttarakhand Decentralised Watershed Development Project.
The agreements were signed by Mr Venu Rajamony, Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs on behalf of the Indian Government, Mr M.H.Khan, Secretary, Watershed, on behalf of Uttarakhand Government and Mr Roberto Zagha, Country Director on behalf of World Bank.
The additional funding of $7.98 million for the Uttarakhand Decentralised Watershed Development Project will sustain support for ongoing activities like helping farmers set up small agribusinesses, an official release said.
