National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) has approved two projects — one for deepening and enhancing water carrying capacity of Nilayur channel and renovating Viraganur check dam and its steel Regulators at a total cost of Rs 28 crore. A press release from Madurai District Collector, Mr C. Kamaraj, said, Nabard had sanctioned the projects under Rural Infrastructure Development Fund Scheme.
