Tight stocks position following fall in supplies from producing belts also influenced the prices.

Turmeric prices also traded higher at Rs 17,900-20,900 against previous mark of Rs 17,800-20,800 per quintal.
Traders said increased buying by stockists following rising exporters demand, mainly pushed up pepper and turmeric prices at the wholesale kirana market here.
