Urad dal and maida prices went up, but rates for other commodities remained unchanged at the wholesale foodgrains market here on Monday.
Urad dal rose by Rs 100 to Rs 5,700 a quintal from the previous rate of Rs 2,600, while the cost of a 90-kg bag of maida rose by Rs 50 to Rs 1,750 from Rs 1,700 earlier.
The following are Monday’s rates for various foodgrains (per quintal): Thoor dal (Rs 5,500), urad dal Rs 5,800, moong dal Rs 6,400, gram dal Rs 3,050, sugar Rs 3,050, wheat Rs 1,900, maida (90 kg) Rs 1,750 and sooji (90 kg) Rs 1,900.
