The Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing and Processing Cooperative (Campco) Ltd recorded a turnover of ₹1,878 crore in 2018-19 (₹1742 crore) , posting a growth of 7.80 per cent.
Campco President SR Satishchandra said this is an all-time high turnover of the cooperative since its inception more than four decades ago.
Campco bought arecanut valued at ₹1,589.15 crore in 2018-19(₹1,452.92 crore). It procured cocoa valued at ₹76 crore (₹55.75 crore), pepper at ₹24 crore (₹9.25 crore), and rubber at ₹27 crore (₹48.87 crore) .
