Edible oils market witnessed a slack trading session for the second consecutive day. Bearish overseas and domestic futures amid poor demand pulled down prices of imported palmolein and soya oil by ₹6 and ₹2 per 10 kg each on the BCE. As stockists stayed away, during the day hardly 200-250 tonnes of palmolein were traded for ₹682-687. At Rajkot, groundnut oil telia tin was steady at ₹1,280 and loose (10 kg) at ₹780. BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 840 (830), soya ref. 755 (757), sunflower exp. ref. 755 (755), sunflower ref. 795 (795), rapeseed ref. 870 (870), rapeseed exp. ref. 840 (840), cottonseed ref. 780 (785) and palmolein 687 (693).
