Edible oils ruled firm on Thursday on weak rupee amid increased stockiest demand for March. On BCE groundnut oil rose by ₹10, palmolein increased by ₹3 and sunflower refined oil up by ₹4 for 10 kgs. During the day about 2,500 tonnes of imported oils were bought by stockiest and majority of that was for March. Morale was positive.
Stockiest have bought about 400 tonnes sunflower oil at ₹730 for 10 March. Allana sold about 500 tonnes palmolein at ₹650, Soyabean refined oil 300 tonnes at ₹740 and 200 tonnes sunflower refined oil at ₹732 for March. Golden agri sold about 700 tonnes palmolein at ₹650 – ₹651 for March. About 400 tonnes palmolein was resold at ₹641-647 for ready - February. Demand for deshi edible oils remained thin.
Liberty: Palmolein Ex Shapur ₹670 for 10 March. Super palmolein ₹695 for 10 March and Sunflower refined oil ₹730 for 10 March.
Allana: Palmolein Ex Khapoli ₹660 for March. Soya refined oil ₹745 for March. Sunflower refined oil ₹740 for March.
Ruchi: Soya oil ₹735 for 5 March and Sunflower refi.oil ₹730 for 5 March.
Golden agri: Palmolein ₹652 for 15 March and ₹653 for 16-30 March.
At Rajkot: groundnut oil Telia Tin was ₹1,320 (₹1,320) and Loose (10 kg) was ₹825 (₹825).
Malaysian crude palm oil, March-18 futures settled at MYR2,509 (MYR 2,510) and April-17 at MYR 2,500 (MYR 2,498).
On NCDEX: Soyabean refined oil March -18 was ₹751.60 (₹750.25) and April-18 was at ₹755.20 (₹751.50) till evening.
On BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg) were: groundnut oil 860 (850), soya refined oil 730 (730), sunflower exp. ref. 670 (670), sunflower ref. 724 (720), rapeseed ref. oil 770 (770), rapeseed expeller ref. 740 (740), cottonseed ref. oil 725 (725) and Palmolein 643 (640).
