Edible oils ruled weak on slack demand, firm rupee amid weak domestic futures. On the BCE, palmolein and sunflower oil declined by ₹2 per 10 kg each and others ruled steady. Overseas futures market show firm trend but favourable weather forecast kept the domestic market cautious. Volume remained thin for the second consecutive day. Hardly 200-250 tonnes of palmolein were resold at ₹717 – ₹720. Local refineries have kept their rates unchanged higher level.

Liberty: Palmolein ex STC / ex JNPT ₹745 for 5 June. Super palmolein ₹775 for 5 June and sunflower refined oil ₹790 for 5 June. Allana: Palmolein ex Khopoli ₹745 for 25 May, Soyabean refined oil ₹775 for 25 May and Sunflower refined oil ₹775 for 25 May.

Ruchi: ex Patalganga Soya refined oil ₹763 and sunflower refi.oil ₹763 for 25 May.

Golden agri: Palmolein ex JNPT ₹723 and Ex STC ₹724 for 5 June.

Groundnut prices were ₹640-740. Soyabean prices were ex Mandi ₹3,575 – ₹3,675 and plant delivery ₹3,675 – ₹3,750. Soya oil was ₹723-728 and Soya refined oil was ₹752-758. At Rajkot: groundnut oil Telia Tin was steady at ₹1,290 (₹1,290) and Loose (10 kg) was at ₹790 (₹790).

Malaysian crude palm oil, June -18 futures close at MYR2,420 (MYR 2,404) and July- 18 ended at MYR 2,427(MYR 2,410).

On NCDEX: Soyabean refined oil June-18 futures dropped to ₹766.75 (₹769.05) and July -18 declined to ₹775.45 (₹777.10) till evening.

BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 845 (845), soya refined oil 752 (752), sunflower exp. ref. 700 (700), sunflower ref. 755 (757), rapeseed ref. oil 805 (805), rapeseed expeller ref. 775 (775), cottonseed ref. oil 762 (762) and Palmolein 718 (720).
