Edible oils market witnessed a weaker trend in absence of demand amid mixed outlook for overseas palm-soya complex. Tracking bearish global reports and price cut by local refineries, imported palmolein and soya oil declined by ₹2 per 10 kg each on the BCE. During the day, hardly 80-100 tonnes of palmolein were resold at ₹678-682. At Rajkot, groundnut oil telia tin was steady at ₹1,280 and loose (10 kg) was at ₹780. Malaysian crude palm oil, August - 18 futures was up at MYR2,153 (MYR2,124), September-18 at MYR2,163 (MYR2,147) and October-18 ended at MYR2,171 (MYR2,159). On NCDEX: Soyabean refined oil August-18 futures declined further to ₹740.40 (₹743.30) and September -18 dropped ₹738 (₹740.95) till evening. On BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg) were: groundnut oil 840 (840), soya refined oil 752 (754), sunflower exp. ref. 750 (755), sunflower ref. 790 (795), rapeseed ref. oil 870 (870), rapeseed expeller ref. 840 (840), cottonseed ref. oil 772 (777) and Palmolein 682 (684).
