Sugar market witnessed a mixed trend on Thursday on fear of lower sale quota for October. Prices at the Vashi wholesale market increased by ₹10-20 a quintal. Naka rates were steady. Mill tender rates declined by ₹10 as some mills sold the commodity at lower rates on slack demand. Arrivals were at 63-64 truck loads and local dispatches were at 64-65 loads. The Bombay Sugar Merchants Association spot rates: S-grade ₹3,092-3,222 and M-grade ₹3,220-3,432. Naka delivery rates: S-grade ₹3,060-3,160 and M-grade ₹3,180-3,280.
