Vashi sugar market witnessed a mixed trend as demand eased. Prices for fine variety gained ₹3-5 a quintal. Naka rates were steady. Mill tender rates lost ₹10 as mills sold their old stocks at lower rates to ease their inventories. Freight rates were unchanged.
Arrivals to the Vashi wholesale market were at 64-65 truck loads and local dispatches were at the same level. The Bombay Sugar Merchants Association’s spot rates: S-grade ₹3,102-3,182 and M-grade ₹3,180-3,522. Naka delivery rates: S-grade ₹3,080-3,150 and M-grade ₹3,120-3,250.
