HML Wallardie and Pattumalay estates have received Trustea and RFA certifications. With this, HML became the first plantation company to be 100 per cent Trustea and RFA certified.
HML is now an accredited producer of quality safe products manufactured under sustainable environmental practices, Dharmaraj, whole-time director and chief executive, said in a statement.
The company with its initiatives also ensured small growers (bought leaf suppliers) in and around its estate are also Trustea and RFA certified.
HML tea estates have also received various national and international accreditations like ISO, TGLIA, UTZ and Ethical Tea Partnership for their sustainable efforts for conservation and protection of environment and product safety and quality.
