Improved buying at lower rate perked up chana marginally today to ₹2,800-25 a quintal (₹2,750-2,800). Chana (desi) ruled at ₹2,550, chana (mausmi) at ₹2,600-2,800, Kabuli Bitki ₹2,500-2,600, while Kaktu ruled at ₹2,700-2,800.
Given adequate stocks and slack physical demand, bearish sentiment in chana is likely to continue, said Rahul Vora, a local pulse trader. Chana dal (average) was flat at ₹2,900-3,050, chana dal (medium) at ₹3,200-3,300, while chana dal (bold) ruled at ₹3,500-3,800. Dollar chana ruled flat at ₹4,500-5,100 a quintal.
