The Turmeric Traders Association of Erode was decided on Friday to declare indefinite holiday to the turmeric sale markets at Erode from Monday due to lorry strike. No trader is buying huge stock as they could not transport the same to their buyers because of non-operating of lorries.said Krishnamurthy a trader. He said for the past five days the price of the turmeric was decreased heavily.The price offinger turmeric at the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association sales yard has been decreased by ₹400 a quintal and the root variety decreased by ₹300 at the Regulated Marketing Committee. The prices of both varieties were decreased by ₹200 at the Erode Cooperative Marketing Society. Our Correspondent
