Aranya Agricultural Alternatives, a non-governmental organisation, will host the 13th International Permaculture Convergence (IPC India 2017) from November 25 here. The week-long programme comprises a conference and field visits.
The conference will discuss the state of permaculture at the Prof. Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University Auditorium on November 25 and 26.
This will be followed by a ‘convergence’ in some farms in Sangareddy district from November 27 to December 2. “IPCs have been serving as platforms for practitioners to discuss strategies, education standards and research about permaculture on a regional and global level,” Padma Koppula, Co-Founder of Aranya Agricultural Alternatives, said in a statement on Wednesday.
The topics for discussion at the conference include permaculture as a social responsibility; grassroots permaculture in action; women as agents of change; and permaculture and climate change adaptation.
