Jeera prices declined marginally as demand slowed at the higher level in the spot market. According to traders, prices may not drop much as the crop has been damaged by rain. Traders said that jeera gained sharply last week, but since the last two days, demand has declined at the higher level. At Unjha mandi in Gujarat, jeera arrival was reported at 10,000 bags and price declined to ₹3,200-3,350 for a maund of 20 kg for best quality, ₹3,000-3,250/ maund for average quality and ₹2,800-2,950/ maund for lower quality. At Rajkot APMC, jeera arrival was registered at 700 bags and price declined to ₹2,700-3,300 per 20 kg. Old jeera traded at ₹2,900-3,150 per 20 kg.
