The Munnar-based KDHP Co (P) Ltd has been ranked No 1 in the category for the award of Best Company for Employee Involvement and Participation based on results from an employee survey conducted by Great Place to Work Institute during the current year. The coveted recognition adds glitter to KDHP as it is in the highly labour-intensive plantation sector and that too in Kerala where labour awareness is very high, Chacko P Thomas, Managing Director, KDHP, said in a statement. This is a testimony of the company’s success in establishing its vision of a unique participatory management model in plantation sector, which follows a bottom-to-top management structure rather than a top-to-bottom hierarchical approach, he added. KDHP is the producer of ‘Ripple’ Brand of tea and other variety teas in bulk from its 16 factories in Munnar.
