Spot turmeric prices at the markets in Erode decreased on Tuesday as only medium quality produce arrived. The poor inflow of the spice did not help in lifting the price. Only 1,100 bags (35 lots) arrivedAt the Regulated Marketing Committee, finger turmeric improved by ₹1,000 a quintal when compared to previous sale price. But at the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association sales yard, finger turmeric lost ₹300 . In all the markets, medium quality root variety fetched higher price.
