In the absence of demand stockists have stayed away in edible oils. Malaysian palm oil, Chicago soya oil complex and soya oil on NCDEX were bearish with thin volatility. In Mumbai prices rose as local refineries increased rates but overall volume remained low. During the day Emami sold about 250 t palmolein at ₹695.50 (10kg) and Golden agri 150 t palmolein at ₹701 for July 20. Ruchi sold about 100 t soyabean refined oil at ₹758 for July 25. Demand for indigenous edible oils were weak on good progress of monsoon but tight supply in the lean period kept prices steady.
