Edible oils markets ruled firm as sliding rupee made imports costlier. On the BCE, groundnut and cotton oil rose by ₹5 per 10 kg each. Palmolein gained by ₹2. Other edible oils were unchanged. Stockists stayed away from fresh bulk buys.
At Rajkot, groundnut oil telia tin increased to ₹1,370 (₹1,350) and loose (10 kg) was ₹850 (₹840). BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 895 (890), soya ref. 750 (750), sunflower exp. ref. 770 (770), sunflower ref. 800 (800), rapeseed ref. 870 (870), rapeseed exp. ref. 840 (840), cottonseed ref. 843 (838) and palmolein 682 (680).
