Sugar prices on the Vashi market were stable on Friday after continuous decline since last month. On the Bombay Sugar Merchant Association, spot rates for S-grade declined by ₹5 a quintal at the higher side and ruled unchanged at the lower side. M-grade was up ₹8 at the lower end and lost ₹10 at the higher side. Naka and mill tender prices were steady on routine demand-supply. Freight rates were steady. Arrivals were at 57-58 truck loads and local dispatches were about 57- 58 truck loads. The BSMA spot rates: S-grade ₹2,362-2,535 (2,362-2,540) and M-grade ₹2,480-2,686 (2,472-2,696). Naka delivery rates: S-grade ₹2,310-2,410 (2,310-2,410) and M-grade ₹2,430-2,600 (2,430-2,600).
