Slack availability of mustard seeds with crushers and improved buying have lifted mustard oil prices in mandis across Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat with its in Indore mandis today being quoted at Rs 788 (up Rs 6 from last week). Similarly in Neemuch mandi also mustard oil ruled higher at Rs 780 (up Rs 5 from last week), while in Moorena it was quoted Rs 10 up from last week at Rs 795.

In Rajasthan mandis also, mustard oil has gained marginally on improved buying and weak arrival with its prices in Kota and Ganga Nagar being quoted at Rs 805 each (up Rs 5 from last week), while it ruled at Rs 820 in Jaipur. In Gujarat also mustard oil ruled higher at Rs 785 (up Rs 10 from last week) on improved buying and weak arrival.

Amid arrival of 5,000 bags in mandis across Madhya Pradesh, mustard seeds ruled firm at Rs 3,750 a quintal, while raida ruled at Rs 4,000 (up Rs 100 from last week). Plant deliveries of mustard seeds for Jaipur line on Thursday also traded higher at Rs 4,640-45 on weak availability of mustard seeds with crushers.

Arrival of mustard seeds across the country today was recorded at 80,000 bags. Rajasthan led the arrival with 40,000 bags, followed by Punjab/Haryana - 15,000, Uttar Pradesh - 10,000 bags, Gujarat - 3,000 bags. MP - 5,000 bags , while 7,000 bags were offloaded elsewhere in the country.
