National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) has cautioned about fraudulent persons posing to be its representatives. S Ramesh, Assistant General Manager, District Development, Dakshina Kannada, Nabard, said here that it is brought to the notice of Nabard that some persons posing as representatives of Nabard are attempting to collect money from the public and farmers by misleading them in the name of various subsidy-related schemes of the government. He said Nabard operates only through its regional offices in State capitals and designated district offices and does not collect margin money, etc, from the beneficiaries.
