Chana has been ruling higher at the mandis in Indore for the past one week with demand outstripping availability. Besides, positive sentiment in the futures trade has also added to the uptrend. On Tuesday, chana (kanta) was being sold at ₹4,200-4,225 a quintal, while chana (desi) went for ₹4,100. Chana dal ruled stable with chana dal (average) at ₹5,100-5,200, chana dal (medium) at ₹5,300-5,400, while chana dal (bold) fetched ₹5,500-5,600. Dollar chana ruled firm at ₹5,000-5,500.
