Downtrend in mustard oil continuing for the past few days on slack demand, has ended with recent monsoon rains in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and elsewhere in the country reviving demand for mustard oil, especially from the pickle manufacturers.
Mustard oil in Indore mandis rose to ₹787 (782) for 10 kg. In Rajasthan mandis also, mustard oil traded higher at Kota and Ganga Nagar rising to ₹800 each (up ₹10).
Similarly in Jaipur mustard oil today ruled higher at ₹815 (up ₹20), while it gained ₹5 in Gujarat to ₹775. Mustard seeds ruled steady at ₹3,800-50 a quintal, while raida ruled at ₹3,750.
With monsoon being on time, trading sentiment in mustard seed continues to remain bearish. Plant deliveries for Jaipur line today ruled at ₹4,585-90 a quintal. Arrival of mustard seeds across the country continued to be on the lower side with about 1.40 lakh bags being offloaded in mandis across the country.
