Despite strong global cues, slack demand at higher rate dragged soya oil prices in Indore mandis in the past one week by ₹5 with soya refined in private trading being quoted at ₹620-25 for 10 kg, while soya solvent declined to ₹600-605 (also down ₹5 from last week). Given festival season ahead, rise in demand in the coming days may perk up soya oil prices. As local mandis remained closed , soyabean ruled firm at ₹3,850 a quital (up ₹100 from last week) amid negligible arrival . Plant deliveries of soyabean were also higher at ₹3,750-3,850 on slack availability of soya seeds with crushers. Improved demand for soyameal on the spot also perked up its prices to ₹34,700-800 (up ₹1,700 from last week).
