Sugar prices continued their uptrend on back of firm futures and as producers kept the prices higher . Prices at Vashi went up by ₹15-20 a quintal. Mills sold the commodity at ₹20-25 higher which lifted naka rates also by ₹20-30.
Arrivals to the Vashi market were at 62-63 truck loads while local dispatches remained at par. The Bombay Sugar Merchants Association’s spot rates: S-grade ₹3,300-3,436 (3,330-3,310) and M-grade ₹3,400-3,522 (3,380-3,500). Naka delivery rates: S-grade ₹3,320-3,370 (3,330-3,380) and M-grade ₹3,400-3,470 (3,360-3,450).
