Steady trend continued in sugar market on back of continuous selling by mills, sufficient supplies amid limited demand. Prices at Vashi declined by ₹5-6 a quintal. Naka rates were unchanged. Arrivals at the Vashi wholesale market were at 58-60 truck loads and local dispatches were at 57-58 loads. Inventory at Vashi was about 110 truck loads. The Bombay Sugar Merchants Association’s spot rates: S-grade ₹2,620-2,751 and M-grade ₹2,720-2,882. Naka delivery rates: S-grade ₹2,600– 2,670 and M-grade ₹2,670-2,750.
