Sugar prices continue to ruled firm as mills were not keen to sell at lower rates in anticipation of Centre’s to shore up sugar prices which have declined since the start of the season from October 2017.
On Wednesday 15-17 mills in Maharashtraoffered to sell 10,000-12,000 bags at ₹2,650-2,700 a quintal for S-grade and ₹2,710-2,850 for M-grade. . Naka delivery rates were: S-grade ₹2,750– 2,790 and M-grade ₹2,800-2,900.
