Sugar prices at Vashi gain by ₹10–20 and rule steady at naka and mill level on Wednesday on ease in demand, and supply and stock in hand. On Tuesday 10-12 mills in Maharashtra managed to sell 18,000–20,000 bags at ₹2,560- 2,650 a quintal of S-grade and ₹2,700–2,850 for M-grade.
On Bombay Sugar Merchants Association's spot rates were: S-grade ₹2,770-2,842 and M-grade ₹2,850–3,012 . Naka delivery rates were: S-grade ₹2,750–2,790 and M-grade ₹2,800–2,900 .
