Tata Consumer Products (TCP), a Tata Group company, will sign an agreement with the Indian Institute of Millet Research (IIMR) to “unlock the full potential of millets as a healthier and more sustainable alternative to traditional grains.
“The MoU will help combine the R&D expertise of the two entities and help the Tata group company to strengthen the product portfolio in the area of millets,” Sunil D’Souza, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tata Consumer Products, said.
The memorandum of understanding will be signed by Vilas A Tonapi, Director of IIMR, and Vikas Gupta, Global Head of (R&D) of Tata Consumer Products at the ‘Nutri-Cereals Multi-stakeholders Mega Convention 3.0’ scheduled to be held here later this week.
“Tata Consumer Products has identified pantry and the mini-meals segments as some of the key areas of focus in its growth strategy,” a statement has said.
