The arrival of turmeric has been increased. The farmers have brought 8,000 bags for sale said Krishnamurthy a trader. The sale in all the markets was encouraging and more than 70 per cent was sold. At the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association Sales yard, finger turmeric was sold at ₹5,703 to ₹8,177 a quintal, root variety at ₹5,099 to ₹7,125. Of the arrival of 4,942 bags of turmeric, 2,090 bags were sold.
