The University Of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Dharwad, will hold a four-day Krishi Mela from September 9 to 12.
According to a UAS-Dharwad release, the mela this year south India level and expects participation from all the southern States – Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Goa.
The 2010 mela proved to be a grand success with the Karnataka State Seeds Corporation achievinf a record sale of 1,000 quintals of seeds worth Rs 50 lakh.
The mela always sees farmers buying seeds for the Rabi season and seeds in demand are rapeseed, wheat, jowar and Bengal gram.
Farmers from neighbouring States too are expected to attend this event .
