Weak futures keep edible oils steady

Edible oils ruled steady on back of thin volume amid weak futures. In Mumbai, barring cotton oil which gained ₹2, all other edible oils were unchanged. Stockists stayed away from fresh buys.

Vikram Global Commodities quoted ₹510 for Malaysian super palm. Liberty traded palmolein at ₹461, super palmolein ₹503 and soyabean refined oil ₹568. Ruchi’s rates: palmolein ₹462, soyabean refined oil ₹566, sunflower refined oil ₹680. Allana traded palmolein for ₹460, super palmolein ₹490, soya refined oil ₹565 and sunflower oil ₹680.

In Saurashtra-Rajkot, groundnut oil telia was up at ₹1,620 (1,590) and loose (10 kg) at ₹1,030 (1,025).

BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 1,000 (1,000), soya ref. oil 565 (565), sunflower exp. ref. 630 (630), sunflower ref. 680 (675), rapeseed ref. oil 850 (850), rapeseed exp. ref. 820 (820), cottonseed ref. oil 598 (596) and palmolein 458 (458).
