APTransco today announced the commissioning of a 400 kV double circuit transmission line from Kothagudem thermal power stage VI to Khammam sub-station of Power Grid Corporation of India and hinted at further strengthening the State grid.
The Chairman and Managing Director of APTransco, Mr Ajay Jain, in a statement said that this will strengthen high voltage transmission infrastructure in the State grid.
He said that APTransco proposes to take up the 40 kV double circuit evacuation transmission lines from Krishnapatnam to Manubolu (Nellore) and Krishnapatnam to Chittoor and Singareni Collieries to Gajwel. These are aimed at strengthening the network and to meet increased power generation in the State.
