The anti-corruption bureau of the CBI has arrested Colonel Kulbir Singh, staff officer to the commandant of the National Defence Academy (NDA), on charges of graft in the recruitment of 97 Class IV employees at the NDA.
The investigating team who searched 14 places in Pune and one each in Mumbai, Gurgaon and Sonepat, including the premises of Colonel Singh and five of his accomplices, recovered cash totalling Rs 1.75 crore, with Rs 82 lakh in cash reported to have been found at his house.
