The Finance Ministry has extended by one year the validity of anti-dumping duty on polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) imports from Russia.
Anti-dumping duty on PTFE will now be valid till May 2, 2016, the revenue department has said.
The department’s move follows the Designated Authority in the Commerce Ministry initiating a sunset review investigation on PTFE imports from Russia.
Gujarat Fluorochemicals Ltd had filed a petition seeking sunset review of the anti-dumping duty earlier imposed on PTFE imports from Russia.
PTFE is primarily used in the mechanical, electrical, electronic, and chemical industries.
