Petrol, diesel, LPG, ATF and kerosene price were hiked over the weekend as a trickle down effect of volatile crude oil prices.
Indian Oil, the country’s largest fuel retailer, hiked petrol price by ₹1.29/litre and Diesel price by ₹0.97/litre. The retail price of petrol is now ₹70.60/litre while diesel is ₹57.82 in Delhi.
The price of a subsidised 14.2-kg cylinder LPG cyclinder was also hiked by ₹2, resulting in a retail price of ₹434.71 in Delhi. On an average, Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) price was also hiked by 8.60 pre cent across cities. Subsidised kerosene price was also hiked by 26 paisa in Kolkata and Mumbai.
The Indian Basket of crude oil closed at $54.55/bbl on December 29, $2.2/bbl higher than the price on December 16, 2016.
