The fourth edition of the Hyderabad Jewellery, Pearl & Gem Fair (HJF) will be held during July 9-11 at the Hitex Exhibition Centre.

The HJF 2011 will be a purely B2B edition (a 100 per cent trade show). It has several new features and is the most prominent exhibition on gems and jewellery and the only International B2B exhibition of its kind in South India.

HJF is organised by UBM India and supported by Twin Cities Jewellery Association and a host of other trade organisations involved in the business.

In a press release, Mr Sanjeev Khaira, Managing Director of UBM India, said thrust would be on the gems and jewellery sector which would get an international trading platform.

It hopes to create exposure and business opportunities to both exhibitors and buyers from major cities and smaller districts in Andhra Pradesh.

The key features that have been included in the three-day exhibition are – workshops on “Challenges in grading colour and identifying look-alikes” by our knowledge partner GIA, the buyer/ supplier programme that gives exclusive opportunity to the industry professional to visit HJF-2011 and network with the leading jewellery professionals from around the globe.

120 companies

Mr Boorugu Suryaprakash Rao, President, AP Gold & Silver Jewellery & Diamond Merchants Association, said the exhibitors this year are concentrating more on diamonds, pearl and stone-studded jewellery.

HJF 2011 will be host to over 120 companies from Amritsar, Bangalore, Delhi, Rajkot, Tumkur, Vizag, Mumbai, Chennai, Kerala, Jaipur and Kolkata, while international participation from Hong Kong, Japan, Sri Lanka and Thailand are also expected.
