The Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology (IBAB), Bangalore, while awaiting the next batch of students, has declared an ‘Open House’ on May 12.
Open House, according to an IBAB release, was aimed at facilitating and giving opportunities to students and young researchers to interact with scientists to learn about current opportunities in life sciences.
Graduates and final-year students of BSc and BTech from the science, engineering and medical disciplines have been invited to visit IBAB to see firsthand the teaching and research facilities available, besides hostel facilities.
IBAB, set up by the Karnataka Government and recognised as a ‘Centre of Excellence in Bioinformatics, Training and Research’ by the Department of Information Technology, offers education in the interdisciplinary science of bioinformatics and hands-on-training in analytical biotechniques.
