Since the demonetisation of high value currency notes on November 8, the exchange or deposit of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes between November 10 and 18 has been around Rs 5,44,571 crore. Of this exchange amounted to Rs 33,006 crore and deposits amounted to Rs 5,11,565 crore. RBI notes that Rs 1,03,316 crore was withdrawn either over the counter or through ATMs since November 10.
