The recently concluded 16{+t}{+h} edition of the International Leather Goods Fair (ILGF) in Kolkata has generated spot orders worth Rs 1.5 crore from domestic and foreign buyers. According to a release from the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), an additional Rs 3 crore worth of contracts were under negotiation during the three-day B2B exposition. A total of 51 Indian and one Italian companies participated in the fair. According to the release, 64 overseas buyers from 17 countries visited the fair to source products. Of the foreign visitors, 17 buyers visited under the Market Access Initiative Scheme of the Union Ministry of Commerce and 45 buyers visited on their own.
