Bengaluru International Airport has rolled out its participation in the year-long celebration of 100 years of Indian civil aviation.
Airport operator BIAL unveiled two large illuminated and revolving official emblems of the Civil Aviation Centenary Year 2011-12 in the presence of its partners and concessionaires. It said the logos would remain displayed at the terminal building for a month and the year-long celebrations would continue at the airport.
The BIAL Managing Director, Mr G.V. Sanjay Reddy, who was felicitated by the Union Civil Aviation Minister, Mr Vayalar Ravi, in Delhi for the GVK group's contribution to civil aviation in India, said, “Operating two of the busiest airports (Mumbai and Bangalore) is a challenging task, yet holds immense potential in the coming years.”
