Fliers can finally check-in their baggage from Friday at two stations of the high-speed Airport Metro corridor, over three months after trains began running on the line.

New Delhi and Shivaji Stadium stations will have six check-in counters each and fliers, both domestic and international, can avail the much-hyped facility from Friday afternoon.

Air India, Kingfisher and Jet Airways have set up two counters each at both stations and passengers can check in their bags minimum 2 hours and maximum 6 hours prior to their flight time, allowing them more time to go around the city.

Baggage handling and passenger check-in (boarding passes) facility will be available at these two stations and passengers can get their boarding passes at the stations itself.

“We are delighted to provide our commuters with this ultra modern facility of baggage and passenger check-in at the metro stations. The baggage check-in system will give the passengers a hassle free and convenient travel experience,” a spokesman of Reliance Infra, whose consortium runs the Line, said.
