The Coimbatore-Chennai Duronto Express was delayed for about four hours after the airconditioning system failed in some of its compartments, authorities said.
When the train reached the Salem railway station yesterday, authorities informed the station superintendent that airconditioning was not working in the first four compartments of the train, following which a railways technical team fixed the snag.
The train continued its journey towards Chennai at about 8.30 pm, authorities said.
