With the GMR Group joining the league of the top five private airport developers globally, it has announced some top level changes at the Delhi and Hyderabad airport. Both the airports are operated by GMR Group led consortia.
Mr I. Prabhakara Rao will be the new Chief Executive Officer of Delhi International Airport Ltd, replacing Mr P.S. Nair who moves to Bangalore as CEO, Corporate, GMR Airports. The Group also announced that Mr Vikram Jai Singhani has been appointed CEO of GMR Hyderabad International Airport. Meanwhile, in 2010 Hyderabad airport retains its number one spot handling 5-15 million passengers annually, according to the Airports Council International (ACI) ASQ Ranking.
